Manuel Paulitsch & Maria Lechleitner for the NB Surf Crew

The European Championships in Portugal are over – and we were right in the middle of it . With Manuel Paulitsch and Maria Lechleitner, Austria has sent two strong riders from the No Borders Surf Crew to the lineup.

From July 18th to 24th, Europe's best surfers battled it out in Santa Cruz – a rough Atlantic, tricky conditions, and full of passion.

Maria and Manuel have shown what's possible when you give it your all, despite your landlocked background. Even if we're not one of the classic surfing nations, that's no problem. Instead, they have heart, drive, and the support of a crew that's connected across borders.

What sticks?
Certainly not just scores or heats.
