Austrian Surfing Champs 2025 – Come Together in Ericeira

From October 27 to 31, 2025, Ericeira, Portugal , will be transformed into the epicenter of the Austrian surfing community for the 11th time. Surfers from all over Austria will gather in Europe's only "World Surfing Reserve" to celebrate the Austrian Surfing Champs (AS Champs) . This year, it's even bigger, because Austrian Surfing and the Austrian SUP Federation are jointly hosting the surfing and SUP championships.

More than a contest

The AS Champs aren't just a competition; they're above all a community gathering . All levels are welcome – from beginners to experienced surfers. It's about spending time together by the ocean, exchanging ideas, and sharing a passion for surfing.

Surfing will be divided into various classes: Surf (Juniors, Open, Longboard, Masters) and SUP (Open, Longboard). The event is planned to take place at the famous Matadouro wave in Ericeira or an alternative nearby spot.

Process & Registration

• Waiting Period: 27th - 31st October 2025
• Riders Meeting: October 26th – there you will receive all the information, pay the entry fee, and check in for the contest.
• Contest Calls: Spot, day and time will be announced depending on wave conditions.
